Overview

Ficus Hotel, previously known as Finca Valverde Hotel, was one of the first lodging options created in Monteverde. At the beginning of 2011 the hotel underwent a series of changes in its name and structure, including the construction of additional rooms and recreational areas within the same tranquil atmosphere which has distinguished this property.

Among the novelties, the creation of two specialty rooms stands out: Ficus Indoor Forest and Ficus Sunset Suites. In the standard and superior rooms, you can enjoy the sounds of the surrounding jungle. The new deluxe rooms are distinguished by the panoramic views which occasionally allow you to view the sunset all the way to the Nicoyan Golf.

Hotel Ficus now offers two restaurants, one a specialized steakhouse, and the other specializing in Peruvian and International Cuisine. There are also expanded trails and gardens so you can walk and enjoy the flora of the area.

Despite remodeling and these other changes, the hotel maintains its excellent location which has distinguished "Finca Valverde", just a few feet from attractions like the town of Santa Elena, the Snake Farm, Frog Gardens, and Insect Museum.

All rooms have private bathroom, hot water, telephone, closet and balcony.
